Ms. Azmat, as she is popularly known, has been in the early childhood education field since 1992. She started her teaching experience as a Pre-K teacher in a nationally recognized, corporate-owned daycare chain. In 1995 she moved to Nysmith School for the Gifted, a privately-owned school in Herndon. She stayed at Nysmith for 11 years. Ms. Azmat believes that her career at Nysmith was the most fulfilling learning experience of her entire career. She had the privilege of working with different age groups in different teaching capacities.
Happy Hearts has been offering quality early childhood education since 2012, when the Ms. Azmat Ahmed, took over the current place. It was the fulfilment of a long-standing passion of taking on an entrepreneurial challenge by starting her own pre-school. Ms. Azmat transformed this daycare into a leading center of early childhood education in Herndon area. She had with her, a wealth of experience in teaching pre-K children. She wanted to impart high quality pre-k program at an affordable price. It was her way of giving back to the community.
